Socialization and Simulation of Climate Change Disaster Mitigation in the Marine Sector to Tanjungpura University Marine Science Students
The aim of this activity is to socialize and train Tanjungpura University Marine Science students in mitigating climate change disasters in the marine sector. This activity involved 50 students as partners from various classes in the Marine Science study program. Implementation methods include lectures, simulations and interactive discussions, designed to provide understanding and practical skills in dealing with the impacts of climate change such as increasing sea temperatures, changes in salinity and rising sea levels. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in student understanding and readiness, which was evaluated through random questions at the beginning and end of the activity. Recommendations from this activity are increasing institutional support in providing resources and technology for simulation, as well as developing sustainable education programs that focus on climate change disaster mitigation.
