Abstract

Management of Achievement Development at the Kijang Rinjani Athletic Club, Athletics Sports Branch, East Lombok Regency

Abstract

This study tested the effectiveness of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model in improving the quality of performance coaching management at the Kijang Rinjani Athletic Club in East Lombok Regency. The primary hypothesis stated that implementing CIPP would facilitate continuous improvement at every program stage, thereby increasing stakeholder satisfaction and athlete performance. The research method combined quantitative and qualitative approaches with the participation of 35 respondents consisting of core administrators, coaches, and athletes, supported by documentation data from the club's facilities and administration. Data was collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire, guided interviews, overt and covert observations, and documentation. The results showed that the context evaluation successfully mapped the program's needs and objectives according to participant expectations. The input evaluation revealed the strengths of adequate facilities and budget and identified the need for coach training in monitoring technology. A real-time feedback mechanism improved adherence to training schedules at the process stage, although reporting remains manual. The product evaluation confirmed satisfactory athlete performance and a high level of stakeholder satisfaction, along with recommendations for adding a psychological support module to foster mental resilience. Based on these findings, the research hypothesis was proven that the comprehensive implementation of CIPP creates a practical and relevant improvement cycle for coaching management. Key findings highlight the importance of allocating resources to monitoring technology, enhancing coach capacity, and integrating psychological support into programs. Thus, the CIPP model provides a scientific basis for designing, monitoring, and evaluating sports programs holistically and sustainably.
