Abstract

Keberhasilan pengembangan program sekolah tidak lepas dari peran pemimpin di sekolah, kepala sekolah harus memiliki strategi yang tepat dalam mengambangkan program sekolah. Strategi adalah pendekatan umum yang memiliki sifat jangka Panjang, adapun komponen program sekolah meliputi peningkatan infrastruktur, kurikulum dan kesiswaan, sarana dan prasarana, rencana kerja sekolah dan pengembangan kualitas guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan program sekolah menggunakan analisis model SWOT. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif studi kasus. Adapun subjek penelitian ini ialah kepala sekolah SMKN 2 Banjarmasin, Wakasek Kurikulum dan guru SMKN 2 Banjarmasin. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/ verification. Hasil peneltian menyatakan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah bersifat kolaboratif-adaptif, arah program sekolah jelas dan sejalan dengan visi sekolah, fasilitas praktik memadai. Adapun peran analisis SWOT yaitu sebagai instrumen strategis.

SWOT Analysis as a Strategy Improvement of the Program at SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin

Abstract

The success of school program development cannot be separated from the role of school leaders. Principals must have the right strategy in developing school programs. A strategy is a general approach that is long-term in nature. The components of a school program include infrastructure improvement, curriculum and student affairs, facilities and infrastructure, school work plans, and teacher quality development. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies of school principals in developing school programs using SWOT analysis. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method. The subjects of this study are the principal of SMKN 2 Banjarmasin, the vice principal for curriculum, and teachers at SMKN 2 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. Data analysis techniques used reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that the principal's leadership is collaborative-adaptive, the direction of the school program is clear and in line with the school's vision, and the practice facilities are adequate. The role of SWOT analysis is as a strategic instrument.
