Work – Life Balance, Motivasi Kerja, Lingkungan KerjaAbstract
The Influence of Work-Life Balance, Work Motivation, and Work Environment on the Performance of Generation Z Employees in Medan City
Abstract
Work-life balance has become a popular topic on social media and plays a crucial role in improving employee performance. This concept aims to balance various aspects of life, such as work, family, personal life, spirituality, and social interactions, without neglecting any of them. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of Work-Life Balance, Work Motivation, and Work Environment on Employee Performance. The data used in this study were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 91 respondents. The population in this research consists of Generation Z employees working in Medan City. The analysis technique employed is statistical testing using multiple regression analysis, accompanied by hypothesis testing through F-tests and T-tests, which were preceded by classical assumption tests. The results show that Work-Life Balance and Work Environment do not have a significant effect on employee performance. Conversely, Work Motivation is found to have a significant and positive influence, indicating that employees’ internal drive plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influence employee performance. However, the low Adjusted R Square value of 0.076 or 7.6% indicates that the model explains only a small portion of the variance in performance, while other factors outside the model contribute more substantially. These findings have important implications for management in formulating strategies to improve employee performance by focusing more on motivational aspects.
