Abstract
This study examines global connectivity in modern society through the work Fiksi Mini 16:60 (2018) by Haji Morshidi Haji Marsal. A qualitative approach using close textual reading was employed to analyze five selected narratives such as “Facebook,” “16:60,” “Kita Sama Saja,” “Kontra,” and “Sakit Jiwa.” The study aims to analyze the role of mass media in shaping social interactions, assess the impact of digital technology on communication and social relationships, and investigate the manifestation of global connectivity within the context of local life. The findings reveal that social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube play a role in creating new social relationships, virtual identities, and global influences in daily life. These narratives illustrate openness to external influences, changes in communication patterns, and the emergence of digital display culture as elements that transform how society thinks and interacts. This study emphasizes that works like Fiksi Mini 16:60 not only reflect social realities but also serve as a critical medium for understanding the impact of globalization on values and culture in the digital era.
