Sistem Presensi Otomatis dengan Integrasi Notifikasi Real-Time ke Orang Tua Berbasis Android

Digitalisasi pendidikan menuntut sistem presensi yang cepat, akurat, dan transparan. SMA Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK Kartasura telah memiliki sistem presensi otomatis, namun belum optimal karena keterbatasan koneksi, perangkat, dan belum adanya notifikasi real-time bagi orang tua. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem presensi berbasis Android yang terintegrasi dengan notifikasi real-time dan dashboard web, serta meningkatkan kapasitas SDM sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan PHP–Laravel, Flutter, dan Firebase. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat berfungsi dengan baik dalam proses pencatatan presensi dan pengiriman notifikasi keterlambatan. Respons awal dari guru, admin, dan orang tua menunjukkan penerimaan yang positif, meskipun evaluasi yang dilakukan masih bersifat kualitatif dan observasional. Temuan awal ini mengindikasikan peningkatan efisiensi proses presensi dan transparansi komunikasi sekolah dan orang tua, walaupun pengukuran kuantitatif lebih lanjut masih diperlukan untuk menilai dampak secara lebih komprehensif.
Android-based Automatic Attendance System with Real-Time Notification Integration to Parents
Abstract
The digitalization of education demands a fast, accurate, and transparent attendance system. Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK Kartasura High School already has an automated attendance system, but it is not yet optimal due to limited connectivity, devices, and the lack of real-time notifications for parents. This community service activity aims to develop an Android-based attendance system integrated with real-time notifications and a web dashboard, as well as to improve the school's human resource capacity. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with stages of preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The system was developed using PHP–Laravel, Flutter, and Firebase. The implementation results show a fast attendance process and successful late notifications are automatically sent to parents' WhatsApp. The web dashboard facilitates daily and monthly data recaps. This system has been proven to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of student attendance management and supports the implementation of inclusive and sustainable educational technology.
