Hirilization of the Use of Immersive Biogenetics Media: VR Class Assistant as Genetics Learning Media for MGMP Biology Malang City
Abstract
Genetics material is often considered a difficult material to learn for students. This difficulty can be overcome with interactive and fun learning media. The purpose of this hirilization activity is to disseminate the role-playing learning media Immersive Biogenetics Media: VR Class Assistant on genetics material, to hirilization participants through routine activities of the Malang City Biology Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP). The method used in this activity consists of four stages, namely: (1) planning, by conducting discussions for the details of the activities to be carried out, (2) preparation, by preparing the things needed during the implementation stage (3) implementation, by delivering materials related to the learning media developed, and (4) evaluation, by analyzing the results of dissemination through the response questionnaire of the hirilization participants related to the implementation of activities and learning media products. The results of these activities show that participants agree that the hirilization activities and learning media products have good usefulness. Thus, this hirilization activity has provided benefits for biology teachers to be able to develop similar learning media so that students can overcome their difficulties in learning genetics material.
