Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pedesaan: Studi Kasus Inovasi Produk Berbasis Pisang di Desa Haya-Haya Kecamatan Limboto Barat Kabupaten Gorontalo

Desa Haya-Haya, Kecamatan Limboto Barat, Kabupaten Gorontalo memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan produk olahan berbasis pisang, namun keterbatasan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat menjadi hambatan utama. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui inovasi produk pisang serta mendorong pemberdayaan perempuan dalam ekonomi lokal. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan, penerapan teknologi sederhana, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pendapatan mitra sebesar 30% dalam tiga bulan pasca-intervensi, peningkatan keterampilan teknis (rata-rata skor pelatihan naik dari 55,2 menjadi 86,5), dan pertumbuhan signifikan penjualan melalui kanal digital (peningkatan 40% dalam satu bulan). Selain itu, program berhasil mengubah pola peran sosial perempuan dan meningkatkan kapasitas kelompok untuk mengelola usaha secara mandiri. Pendekatan holistik ini berbeda dari program serupa karena mengintegrasikan pemanfaatan limbah, teknologi tepat guna, serta keterlibatan aktif kelompok rentan. Implikasi dari hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif berbasis potensi lokal efektif dalam menciptakan transformasi ekonomi dan sosial yang berkelanjutan di wilayah pedesaan.
Rural Community Empowerment: A Case Study of Banana-Based Product Innovation in Haya-Haya Village, West Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency
Abstract
Haya-Haya Village in West Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency, holds significant potential for developing banana-based processed products, yet limited community skills and knowledge pose major obstacles. This program aimed to improve local income and welfare through banana product innovation while promoting women's economic empowerment. The method included community engagement, technical training, mentoring, appropriate technology application, and continuous evaluation. The results showed a 30% average income increase among partners within three months, an improvement in technical skills (training scores rose from 55.2 to 86.5), and a 40% growth in digital product sales within one month. Additionally, the program fostered shifts in women's social roles and enabled the groups to manage enterprises independently. The holistic approach integrating waste utilization, simple technology, and active inclusion of vulnerable groups distinguishes it from similar initiatives. These outcomes suggest that participatory, locally rooted approaches can foster sustainable economic and social transformation in rural communities.
