Abstract

Covid-19 saat ini tengah melanda di seluruh dunia. Dengan adanya kasus Covid-19 ini seakan berita mengenai kasus Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) tenggelam. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi Orang Dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA) di Kabupaten Tulungagung dalam rangka peringatan Hari AIDS Sedunia terkait dengan bahaya Covid-19. Pengabdian masyarakat ini ditujukan bagi ODHA di Tulungagung. Sasaran edukasi ini adalah  sejumlah 32 peserta. Tahapan yang diterapkan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini terbagi dalam persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pre dan post test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peserta yang telah menerima edukasi ada peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai covid-19 terhadap orang dengan HIV/AIDS. Kegiatan edukasi dan sosialisasi ini memberikan pengetahuan mengenai Covid-19 dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang status kesehatan yang baik. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini memberikan efek positif kepada ODHA di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini.

Covid-19 Education for People With HIV/AIDS in Tulungagung Regency in Commemoration of World AIDS Day

 Covid-19 is currently sweeping across the world. With the Covid-19 case, it seems as if the news about the Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) case has sunk. This activity aims to educate People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Tulungagung Regency in commemoration of World AIDS Day related to the dangers of Covid-19. This community service is intended for PLWHA in Tulungagung. The target of this education is a total of 32 participants. The stages applied in the implementation of this service are divided into preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The method of data collection is done by pre and post-test. The results show that participants who have received education have increased knowledge about COVID-19 for people with HIV/AIDS. These educational and outreach activities provide knowledge about Covid-19 and public understanding will provide good health status. This socialization activity has a positive effect on PLWHA during the Covid-19 pandemic
