Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan, menentukan kelayakan serta tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap video animasi Canva menggunakan pendekatan CTL. Jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development), dengan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) yang dibatasi hingga tahap develop. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan antara lain lembar penilaian kelayakan materi dan media, angket tanggapan guru, dan siswa dengan skala likert. Subjek penelitian meliputi 3 dosen pendidikan kimia Universitas Negeri Medan, 3 guru kimia SMA, serta 25 siswa SMA Swasta Al-Ulum Medan. Hasil uji kelayakan materi diperoleh persentase 90,7% dan kelayakan media diperoleh persentase 88,8% keduanya memiliki kriteria “sangat layak”. Respon guru menunjukkan persentase 96,1% dengan kriteria “sangat baik” dan respon siswa sebesar 89,9% dengan kriteria “sangat menarik”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, video animasi Canva dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran asam basa. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini dapat membantu pemahaman konsep asam basa secara kontekstual.

The Development of Canva Animated Video Learning Media Using the CTL Approach on Acid-Base Topic

 

This study aims to analyze the needs, determine the feasibility and responses of teachers and students to Canva animated videos using the CTL approach. The type of research is R&D (Research and Development), with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) which is limited to the develop stage. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The assessment instruments used include material and media feasibility assessment sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and students with a Likert scale. The subjects of the study included 3 chemistry education lecturers at Medan State University, 3 high school chemistry teachers, and 25 students at Al-Ulum Medan Private High School. The results of the topic feasibility test obtained a percentage of 90.7% and media feasibility obtained a percentage of 88.8% both of which have the criteria "very feasible". The teacher's response showed a percentage of 96.1% with the criteria "very good" and the student response was 89.9% with the criteria "very interesting". Based on the results of the study, the Canva animated video was declared very feasible to use in acid-base learning. The findings show that this learning media can help understand the concept of acids and bases contextually.
