Abstract

The Level of Attitudes and Behaviors of Football Athletes Towards Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Injury Prevention at PS. Lingsar

Abstract

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries are common and impactful for football athletes. This study aims to assess the preventive attitudes and behaviors of PS. Lingsar athletes toward ACL injuries. Using a quantitative descriptive design and survey method, data were collected via questionnaires from 34 athletes. Results show 41.18% of athletes hold a “high enough” attitude, while 44.12% exhibit “high enough” preventive behavior. However, 17.65% have a “low enough” attitude, and 8.82% demonstrate “very low” preventive behavior. In conclusion, a gap remains between knowledge and preventive practice. Recommendations include implementing neuromuscular training programs, rehabilitation education, and coach support to enhance athlete involvement in ACL injury prevention.
