Peer Review Process

Every article submitted to Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengkajian Ilmu Pendidikan: e-Saintika undergoes an initial review by an editor assigned by either the Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor. The assigned editor has expertise in the article's subject area. The editor then assigns a minimum of 2 (two) reviewers who specialize in the article's theme. The review process follows a double-blind peer-review method, where reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers are given a two-week period to evaluate the assigned article. Based on the reviewer's feedback, the assigned editor will make a decision on whether to accept, request revisions, or reject the article. In cases where the reviewers' recommendations significantly differ, an additional reviewer will be assigned to aid in the decision-making process. Please note that English is the language used in this journal.

Review Outcomes

The Editor will make a final publication decision using feedback from the peer review process. The review process will take approximately 4 to 12 weeks. Decision categories include:

  • Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to e-Saintika.

  • Resubmit for Review - The submission needs to be reworked, but with significant changes, it may be accepted. However, it will require a second round of review.

  • Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in e-Saintika if minor/major modifications are made. The editor will review revisions to ensure necessary updates are made prior to publication.

  • Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications.
