Abstract

The Development of Digital-Based Management Information System of Professional Certification Institution (LSP) at SMKN 2 Mataram

Digital transformation in competency certification management is a strategic step for school-based Professional Certification Institutions (LSP). This study aims to develop and test an information system model called LSPedia to support an integrated and effective certification process at LSP P1 SMKN 2 Mataram. The system was designed using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE framework and multisource validation involving experts and practitioners. LSPedia includes features for candidate administration, portfolio uploads, assessor validation, and automated reporting. Expert validation results showed a “highly feasible” category, with average scores exceeding 90 percent. Effectiveness testing involving 50 respondents across various roles indicated that 86 percent rated the system as effective. These findings demonstrate that LSPedia successfully addresses the need for digital-based certification in vocational school environments and can be replicated in similar contexts.
